VALETS
The best servants of the people, like the best valets, must whisper unpleasant truths in the master’s ear. (Walter Lippmann)
Valets are increasingly in demand now after a period in which this most useful ‘gentleman’s gentleman’ seemed all but extinct. The valet is a manservant to the gentleman of the house. His duties include the care of the gentleman’s wardrobe and his rooms. It is the valet’s responsibility to care for, clean, press and mend the gentleman's clothes.
The valet will also prepare and pack his employer’s clothes when travelling. They will usually travel with gentlemen of means and supervise his wardrobe when on holiday or on business. Sometimes he will take the place of a butler and run errands for his employer and serve tea or dinner when entertaining.
We provide permanent, full-time valets for individuals and households and we also provide temporary valets for corporate functions and for guests visiting from overseas.
